The Grand Ducal Police have reported a recent traffic accident in which a police car, on an emergency call, collided with another vehicle in Pétange.
On the evening of Sunday 20 April 2025, a police car collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Route de Longwy and Chemin de Brouck near Rodange.
The impact caused the police car to knock over a streetlight, resulting in damage to two other cars. The second vehicle involved in the collision spun around its axis and came to a stop several metres away. The driver was taken to hospital for further examination as were the driver and passenger of the police car.
The Technical Unit of the police was called to the scene. By order of the public prosecutor's office, both vehicles were impounded and an investigation into the causes of the accident was initiated.
