On Wednesday 16 April 2025, Luxembourg’s Environment Agency announced a recall and a ban on the sale of ten tattoo inks within the Grand Duchy.

The Environment Agency stated that, as the authority responsible for investigating and determining violations of the amended law of 16 December 2011, concerning the registration, evaluation and authorisation of chemical substances and the classification, labelling and packaging of chemical substances and mixtures, it has issued a market recall and a ban on the use of ten tattoo inks. 

The inks concerned are as follows:

- Dynamic - Ultra White (EAN 5056419518501, batch WUL 020124 D1);
- SUPER - Totem Black (Batch RD26Y5);
- Quantum - Bitchin Black (EAN 0616943296433, batch 2411);
- Quantum - Cookie Monster (EAN 0616943299861, batch 2411);
- RADIANT - Evolved Lyon Blue (Batch 01);
- World Famous Limitless Tattoo Ink - Medium purple 1 v2 (EAN 840058828818, batch 242006R);
- World Famous Limitless Tattoo Ink - Medium Blue 1 v2 (EAN 840058828689, batch 240107R);
- World Famous Limitless Tattoo Ink - Dark Green 2 (EAN 840058827767, batch 242006R);
- World Famous Limitless Tattoo Ink - Light Green 1 v2 (EAN 840058828368, batch 200404R);
- Tattoo Ink, Model: SNDE-1 (Batch 20240801001).

Customers in possession of one of these items are asked to no longer use them and to contact the point of sale regarding follow-up procedures.

The Environment Agency has initiated the necessary measures to remove these products from the market. Each item listed has been reported to the European Safety Gate alert system.
