
On Monday 7 April 2025, Luxembourg’s Customs and Excise Agency confirmed the recent seizure of more than one tonne of drugs during a road traffic inspection carried out at the end of last week.
According to the authorities, the search led to the discovery of 1,065 kg of hashish and 126 kg of marijuana concealed in the cargo of a truck.
The Luxembourg Public Prosecutor’s Office was informed of the case and ordered the arrest of the truck’s 35-year-old driver. The individual was subsequently brought before an investigating judge, who issued an arrest warrant.
Further investigations are being conducted under the authority of the investigating judge.
No additional details have been disclosed at this stage due to the ongoing nature of the investigation.
