The Grand Ducal Police have reported two recent but separate incidents of assault.
At around 19:05 on Saturday 5 April 2025, the police received reports of a fight between several people on Rue Alphonse Weicker in Luxembourg-Kirchberg. A police patrol went to the scene but failed to locate any of the individuals involved. Initial investigations revealed that two men had repeatedly engaged in arguments with others, resulting in physical violence. Further investigations led to the arrest of the suspects and allowed the police to find the two victims (a man and a woman), who had been taken to hospital. By order of the public prosecutor, both suspects were arrested and brought before an investigating judge on the morning of Sunday 6 April 2025.
At around 15:00 on Monday 7 April 2025, there were reports of an altercation between three people in a car park near the train station in Munsbach. A police patrol immediately went to the scene and found the individuals involved. One person had been stabbed in the thigh and was taken to the out-of-hours hospital for treatment. Officers also found and arrested the suspected perpetrator on the orders of the public prosecutor. The third person was taken to the police station for further investigation.
In this context, the police have called for witnesses who may have relevant information about the Munsbach incident. They should contact the emergency police number 113.
