The Grand Ducal Police have reported that they arrested a suspected perpetrator of a stabbing in Pétange on the evening of Sunday 30 March 2025.
The police responded to a call from a member of the public who reported a fight near the town hall in Pétange: a police patrol attended to the scene and discovered a man suffering from stab wounds.
After receiving first aid at the scene, he was taken to a hospital.
The police arrested a suspect. According to initial information, a verbal argument had ensued between the two parties, which escalated into a scuffle, during which the suspect injured the victim.
The public prosecutor's office ordered the police to arrest the suspect who was then brought before a judge.
