The Grand Ducal Police have reported that they issued ten fines for using a mobile phone while driving, following a large-scale traffic control in Gilsdorf in northeastern Luxembourg.

From 16:45 to 18:00 on Wednesday 12 March 2025, police conducted a traffic control near Rue Principale and Rue du Pont (toward Bleesbréck), focusing on the use of mobile phones while driving and the proper wearing of seatbelts.

A total of ten drivers received fines of €250 and four penalty points on their driving licence for using a mobile phone while driving.

In addition, the police filed a report on one driver for driving under the influence of drugs.
