
The Grand Ducal Police have reported that they issued 40 fines for using a mobile phone while driving, following a large-scale traffic control in Differdange.
In the late afternoon of Wednesday 26 February 2025, 40 drivers received fines of €250 and four penalty points for using a mobile phone while driving.
In addition, two drivers received fines of €145 and two penalty points for failing to produce a valid technical inspection certificate. A driver also received a fine of €145 and two penalty points as a result of faulty tyres. Another driver received a fine of €24 due to the failure to register their new address on the registration certificate within one month of a change of residence or registered office.
The police also reported that a traffic control took place on Thursday 27 February 2025 between 01:30 and 02:45 on the Pont Bucheler in Luxembourg City.
Three drivers were issued fines as a result of driving without a valid licence. The police filed a report on all three.
The police also reported that they confiscated the licence of another driver following a positive alcohol test.
