
The Grand Ducal Police have reported that two separate robberies occurred in Luxembourg City and Differdange on Monday 24 February 2025.
At approximately 15:30 on Monday, the police received reports that a pedestrian had been robbed in Luxembourg City. According to the information provided, the woman was walking on Montée de Clausen when a man ran up to her from behind and stole her handbag. The woman fell and was slightly injured. The male suspect is described as being approximately 30 to 35 years old, with black hair, a black beard and wearing a grey hoodie and dark-coloured trousers.
At approximately 21:40 on Monday, the police received reports that a masked man, armed with a knife, entered a restaurant on Rue Pierre Dupong in Differdange. According to initial information, the perpetrator demanded the contents of the cash register before fleeing the scene. No one was injured in the incident. An investigation has been launched. The suspect is reported to have been dressed in dark clothes, wearing a balaclava and holding a large kitchen knife in his hand.
