Suspect Taken to Juvenile Security Unit Following Burglaries

The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a break-in took place at a single-family home in Mensdorf on Sunday 23 February 2025.

The burglary took place shortly before 09:00 on Sunday. The police immediately initiated a search operation, which ultimately proved unsuccessful and was called off shortly before 14:00.

However, further investigations revealed that a suspect, arrested following a burglary in Roodt-sur-Syre, was probably connected to several other burglaries, including the one reported in Mensdorf. The police confiscated stolen property from the underage suspect.

On the orders of the public prosecutor's office, the minor was placed in Unisec (closed unit for minors), the security unit of the State Socio-Educational Centre (Centre socio-éducatif de l'État - CSEE), in Dreiborn.
