The Grand Ducal Police have reported that they recently arrested two men in relation to separate incidents of domestic violence in Luxembourg.

In the late morning of Monday 3 February 2025, the police received reports of a woman who was stabbed by her partner in Warken. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment. The suspect was arrested on-site. The public prosecutor's office ordered the suspect to be referred and arrested.

The following morning, shortly before 09:00 on Tuesday 4 February 2025, an argument was reported to have broken out between spouses in Hagen. According to initial information, the husband stabbed his wife with a knife, injuring the woman. The man then fled and a manhunt was launched. The officers caught the suspected perpetrator shortly afterwards and arrested him on the orders of the public prosecutor. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment; her life is not in danger, added the police.
