Yellow Flood Alert Issued for Luxembourg

Luxembourg's weather portal, MeteoLux, has issued a yellow warning for potential flooding.

The alert applies to southern Luxembourg from 11:00 to 20:00 on Monday 27 January 2025.

For northern Luxembourg, the alert will remain in place from 13:00 on Monday 27 January until 08:00 on Tuesday 28 January 2025.

The yellow alert indicates a potential risk of floods. According to the flood warning website, the public should "be prepared", as water levels continue to rise "significantly" due to recent precipitation. This is particularly the case in the Alzette (south) and Sûre (north) catchment areas.
