Luxembourg's weather portal, MeteoLux, has issued a nationwide weather warning for snow on Wednesday 8 January 2025.
The yellow alert (indicating "potential danger") will be in place across the Grand Duchy from 16:00 to 23:59 on Wednesday.
A layer of snow between 1 and 5 cm is expected during this time. MeteoLux added that the instability of the models on the expected temperatures has resulted in "a great deal of uncertainty" in terms of possible amount of snow. The expected snow accumulations will be updated in its next weather bulletins.
Update: As of Wednesday morning, the yellow alert had been changed to apply only to the northern part of the country, from 15:00 to 20:00 (19:59). A layer of snow between 2 and 6 cm is expected.
