On Tuesday 7 January 2025, Luxembourg's Ministry of Finance warned that a fake account claiming to belong to Finance Minister Gilles Roth is currently circulating on X (formerly Twitter).
The ministry recalled that the minister's official account is called @RothGilles. The fake account, impersonating the minister, is written with a double "s", i.e. @RothGilless.
The ministry asked that the public do not respond to messages and that they report this fake account.
