On the evening of Friday 20 December 2024, the Grand Ducal Police announced they are searching for three men in the northern part of the country, around Binsfeld (Weiswampach municipality).
The police noted that men were fleeing from Belgian police in a vehicle with stolen licence plates and crossed the border into Luxembourg, heading toward Troisvierges. From there, they reportedly continued to Binsfeld, where they abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.
The police have asked that motorists do not pick up hitchhikers in and around the Binsfeld area. Instead, they should report any suspicious individuals to the Diekirch police station via tel.: 244 80 1000 or to the emergency number 113.
