The Grand Ducal Police have launched an appeal for witnesses after a mother and her son were hit by a car that failed to stop on Monday 9 December 2024.
The accident occurred on the Avenue de la Faïencerie, at the intersection with Rue de Rollingergrund, in Luxembourg-Ville at approximately 17:10 on Monday.
The mother and son were crossing Avenue de la Faïencerie, on the pedestrian crossing, when a dark-coloured vehicle coming from Rue de Rollingergrund turned onto the street and hit both pedestrians. The child was injured and taken to hospital for treatment. The driver did not stop but continued his journey after the accident.
