The Prison Administration has reported that an incident occurred at the Centre Pénitentiaire de Luxembourg (CPL), also known as Schrassig Prison, on Friday morning.
At around 10:00 on Friday 6 December 2024, a prisoner assaulted two prison officers.
One of the officers was transferred to the on-call hospital for a check-up, while this was not deemed necessary for the other officer (due to state of health).
The public prosecutor's office has been informed, the Grand Ducal Police are conducting an investigation and the Prison Administration is taking internal steps to document the facts and preserve evidence.
The psychological crisis intervention system has been activated and will, to the extent necessary, provide short-term support to the victims.
