On Tuesday 3 December 2024, the Grand Ducal Police reported that two burglars were on the run in the Dommeldange area.
After a break-in in Luxembourg-Dommeldange on Tuesday at around 10:30, two perpetrators are said to be on the run.
At the time of writing, several police units were involved in the ongoing manhunt.
The public is asked to report any suspicious persons in the area to the police (tel: 113) immediately. The police also warned against picking up hitchhikers.
Several house break-ins have been reported recently. Late on Sunday 1 December 2024, for example, a burglar was reported in a single-family home on Huelstrooss in Reckange-sur-Mess. Several police patrols went to the scene and managed to catch the suspect inside the house. The officers confiscated stolen goods during the body search. The perpetrator was arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor's office and was due to stand before the investigating judge on the afternoon of Monday 2 December 2024.
