Prince Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg, is set to officially assume the role of Lieutenant-Representative (Lieutenant-Représentant) of the Grand Duke on Tuesday 8 October 2024.

Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg announced the news of Prince Guillaume's appointment in his National Day speech on 23 June 2024. The date announcement followed, and now members of the public are invited to watch the ceremony inside the Chamber of Deputies (Luxembourg's parliament) next Tuesday.

Luxembourg's Ministry of State, the Maison du Grand-Duc and the Chamber of Deputies noted in a press release that seats will be available for members of the public to follow the ceremony. The visitors' entrance to the Chamber of Deputies is located on Rue de l'Eau, on the side of the main building of the Hôtel de la Chambre - identity document required for entry. People who wish to attend must register via email: relations.publiques@chd.lu, indicating their surname, first name, email address and telephone number.

Following the ceremony, at around 16:00, the public is invited to come and greet Prince Guillaume, as well as the President of the Chamber of Deputies and Luxembourg's Prime Minister, on Rue du Marché-aux-Herbes.
