Luxembourg's Water Management Authority (AGE) has confirmed the end of the bathing/swimming season for this year.

Monday 30 September 2024 marked the end of the bathing season in Luxembourg. In accordance with the provisions of the amended Grand-Ducal Regulation of 19 May 2009 determining the special protection measures and the monitoring programmes for the state of bathing waters, the microbiological quality is monitored at the monitoring points between 1 May and 30 September, recalled the AGE.

In 2024, the Weiswampach lakes, the Upper Sûre lake, the Remerschen ponds and the Echternach lake were opened for bathing based on the results of the monitoring carried out between 2020 and 2023.
