The City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg – VdL) has announced the gradual closure of the Glacis car park from Friday 14 June 2024.

This is due to the assembly and dismantling of the stage and technical installations for the concerts scheduled during the City Sounds, set to take place on the Glacis area on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 June 2024, as well as in the context of the live broadcast of the European Football Championship matches from Saturday 29 June 2024. The VdL noted that its traffic department will ensure that appropriate signage is in place.

In order to best guide motorists to free car parks, VdL recommended that they use the dynamic guidance system (Parkleitsystem) and reminded the public to make use of the park and ride (P&R) car parks located on the outskirts of Luxembourg City. Most of these P&R-parking houses are free of charge. The availability of free spaces in the car parks can be consulted on the cityapp and parking.vdl.lu.
