On Thursday 7 March 2024, the Grand Ducal Police confirmed that they had made two arrests in connection with burglaries in Sandweiler.
Five burglaries and one attempted burglary in restaurants and commercial premises in Sandweiler were reported on the night of Wednesday 6 March 2024. Two suspects were arrested as part of the immediate investigations.
On the order of the public prosecutor's office, both suspects were subjected to identification procedures. One suspect was taken to the State Socio-Educational Centre (Centre socio-éducatif de l'État - CSEE). The other was arrested by order of the public prosecutor's office and brought before the examining magistrate on the afternoon of 6 March 2024.
