On Friday 20 January 2023, Luxembourg's Ministry of Justice confirmed that a total of 10,499 people obtained Luxembourg nationality following naturalisation, choice and recovery procedures in 2022.
The split was as follows:
- 5,193 people obtained Luxembourg nationality by choice.
- 4,273 people obtained Luxembourg nationality by recovery.
- 1,033 people obtained Luxembourg nationality by naturalisation.

The deadline for completing the formality of the declaration of "recovery" has been extended to 31 December 2025.
