On Tuesday 16 August 2022, Luxembourg's Government Commission for Quality, Fraud and Food Safety issued a warning concerning the Pancakes with fresh milk 10 Pieces (Crêpes au lait frais 10 pièces) from Cérélia Belgium, due to the possible presence of listeria, a bacteria that causes listeriosis.

The 600g packing units are concerned, with Barcode 27065174 and date of minimum durability (MDD) of 27/08/2022, 30/08/2022, 31/08/2022 and 01/09/2022. The product has been on sale in Luxembourg via Aldi stores (sales by other operators cannot be excluded).

Listeria monocytogenes can cause fever, headache and gastroenteritis. Vulnerable people such as immunocompromised and elderly people, and young children may present with neurological symptoms due to meningitis. Pregnant women should also be especially alert to these symptoms. Gastroenteritis can appear between a few hours and three days after consumption, while neurological symptoms can only appear after three months. People who have consumed these products and have these symptoms are invited to consult a doctor and report this consumption.
