The Grand Ducal Police have reported that, on Friday 31 December 2021, they arrested three people following a break-in at a house in Moutfort and a subsequent car chase that ended in Oetrange.
Shortly after 13:99, a break-in into a house in Moutfort was reported to the police. The three perpetrators fled in a car at high speed in the direction of Oetrange. They passed a police patrol, which immediately started pursuit of the vehicle.
In Oetrange, the car used for the escape collided with two other cars and finally came to a stop. The three occupants received what the police described as minor injuries and were taken to hospital. No other people were injured in the accident.
The public prosecutor ordered the three people to be arrested and to be brought before a judge on Saturday 1 January.
The road was closed for the duration of the rescue and clearance work.
