The Grand Ducal Police have reported at least six break-ins in Luxembourg between Friday evening and Sunday morning.
On Friday 19 November 2021, two break-ins were reported on Rue des Romains in Dippach. The first took place between 12:00 and 18:00, when one or more perpetrators broke into a single-family house through the patio door; the second took place between 17:45 and 19:00 and the perpetrator(s) are believed to have got through the glass veranda to the first floor of a house where a window was broken into. Investigations have started in both cases.
On Saturday 20 November 2021, a detached house in Mondercange (Rue d'Ehlerange) was broken into between 15:30 and 23:45. Presumably, the patio door was broken open to get into the house.
In the subsequent neighbourhood survey, the police officers found another house on the same street had also been broken into. This was an uninhabited house where the burglar(s) entered via the roof.
In addition, a house in Luxembourg-Cents (Boulevard Jules Salentiny) was broken into between 17:30 and 19:00. The perpetrator(s) are believed to have pried open a balcony door on the first floor to get inside the house.
On Sunday 21 November 2021, around 04:30 in the early morning, a row house in Troisvierges was broken into. The perpetrator or perpetrators may have broken open a tilted window in the garage and got inside the house. A manhunt was initiated immediately, but without result.
In all cases, the police forensics department was involved in the investigation.
