In the early hours of Monday morning, 23 August 2021, a person was hospitalised following what is understood to be a shooting in the Luxembourg-Gare neighbourhood.
The Grand Ducal Police have confirmed that, shortly before closing time at 03:00, they received a report that a person had been shot from a handgun in front of a restaurant.
Also, during the night, one person was found injured and was taken to hospital where they were attended to: the victim's status has not been revealed.
Several police patrols took part in a search operation to locate the perpetrator.
The public prosecutor's office was informed and has referred the investigation to the criminal police.
