On Sunday 22 August 2021, the Grand Ducal Police reported that, on Friday lunchtime, a woman reported that she had received threats from her former partner and said that she was going to Bettembourg to hit her.
The police confirmed that death threats were made during a telephone conversation with the woman's former partner.
The police dispatched a patrol car; the police officers located the man and arrested him on orders of the public prosecutor, as well as confiscating his mobile phone and searching his home, during which they discovered and confiscated several knives and a number of electrical appliances. The man was brought before a judge on Saturday.
