The Grand Ducal Police have confirmed that a body has been recovered from the Moselle river.
On Sunday 15 August 2021, shortly after 21:00, the police received a report that someone had jumped into the Moselle river at Wasserbillig and a body was then seen floating in the water.
Rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the scene and recovered a lifeless body from the water.
An investigation is to be undertaken to determine the exact circumstances of what happened.
