Luxembourg's Ministry of Mobility and Public Works has announced that the urgent felling of a chestnut tree outside the National Institute for Languages (Institut national des langues - INL) is planned today, Thursday 5 August 2021.
A recent inspection of the tree in question revealed serious degradation, leading to the decision that urgent action was needed to ensure on-site safety at the INL.
Subsequently, an arborist (tree expert) will make a more precise analysis to decide whether the tree should be completely removed or not.
