The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a construction worker suffered serious injuries following a work accident in Luxembourg City on Monday morning.
The accident occurred shortly before 08:00 on Monday at a construction site on Rue de Neudorf in the capital.
A worker fell about 15 metres from a platform, which had come loose for reasons that are yet to be clarified. The man suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital after receiving first aid on site.
The public prosecutor's office and the Inspectorate of Labour and Mines (Inspection du travail et des mines - ITM) have launched an investigation into the accident.
