The Grand Ducal Police have reported that, during the past week, they carried out around 260 checks across the Grand Duchy to ensure compliance with the legal provisions against the spread of COVID-19.

In addition to the rules relating to the curfew (around 90% of checks) and large groups assembling, these checks also focused on controls within shopping centres and other commercial activities, as well as their sanitary concepts.

Around 190 people were fined during this period; around 70% of the fines were in relation to people breaking curfew (between 23:00 and 06:00).

Furthermore, in 30 cases, police officers had to create a protocol or report for non-compliance with the sanitary regulations to the responsible authorities, including in the context of large gatherings of people.
