From today, Monday 25 May 2020, Luxembourg's police stations are once again open to the public, although on an appointment-only basis.
The Grand Ducal Police today announced the reopening of all police stations to the public by appointment only as part of the national lockdown exit strategy.
The physical reception of the public without an appointment will continue to be provided 24/7 at the following four sites: Luxembourg Police Station (located at 1 Rue Marie et Pierre Curie); Diekirch Police Station (8 Rue Alexis Heck); Esch-sur-Alzette Police Station (104 Boulevard Kennedy); Museldall Police Station in Grevenmacher (48 Rue de Machtum).
Wearing a mask is compulsory in all police stations.
As a precautionary measure, the public is recommended to only visit the counters in case of absolute necessity. In general, the police has recommended that all non-urgent situations or questions be reported online if possible via the e-police station (e-commissariat), for example the declaration of a simple theft. Other procedures, such as paying fines, can be carried out on guichet.lu.
In the case of an emergency, danger or threat, the public should first contact the emergency phone number 113.
