The Luxembourg Police have arrested a man in connection with a bakery theft and the injury of a woman in Differdange.
At 23:00 on Sunday evening, the police received reports of an injured woman in Rue de la Poste in Differdange. The victim, who was found behind a vehicle, remained unresponsive in a first phase.
Events leading to this situation were initially unknown. However, some hours later, the police became aware of a man on Rue Nicolas Theis in Niederkorn, due to his involvement in a theft in a bakery. The suspected perpetrator was interrogated after a brief search. While searching the man's bags, the police found the identity card of the injured woman.
The police have since launched an investigation. The man was arrested by order of the prosecutor and will be brought before the examining magistrate.
