On Friday 1 March 2019, His Royal Highness the Grand Duke of Luxembourg received in audience the soldiers who intervened during the tragic accident at Waldhaff.

The meeting took place at the Grand Ducal Palace, in the presence of General Alain Duschène, Chief of Staff of the Luxembourg Army.

Following the explosion at the ammunition depot on 14 February 2019, these soldiers provided first aid and arranged for the evacuation of victims by the CGDIS to take place in the best conditions.
