On Monday morning, an accident happened in Steinsel which claimed the life of a 42 year-old construction worker who lived in the south of the Grand Duchy.
The accident happened shortly before 10:00 on a construction site on the rue Paul Eyschen in Steinsel.
It is understood that the construction worker fell around three metres from a roof to the ground; as a result of his injuries sustained in the fall, he was declared dead by the emergency services at the site.
In order to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the man's death, the office of the public prosecutor has commissioned the criminal investigation department and the measuring and detection service of the Grand Ducal Police to investigate. The industrial inspection authority was also at the scene of the accident.
