To complement the opening of shops in Luxembourg City’s Ville-Haute and Gare districts on Sunday 23 October 2016, the Ville de Luxembourg reminds the public that all bus lines, as well as certain RGTR lines, in the capital will be free of charge on this day.
Whilst shops normally close on Sundays in Luxembourg, this week they will remain open in Ville-Haute and the district around the train station in the capital between 14:00 and 18:00, on what is called “Mantelsonndeg”.
As a result, the Ville de Luxembourg, in collaboration with the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Infrastructure, are offering free bus, and in some cases train, services on all lines (1-31) in Luxembourg City to the public this Sunday.
Moreover, the City Shopping Bus will leave every six minutes between 12:30 and 18:30 and will service between the Glacis car park, which is free on Sundays, and Rue Beaumont in the city centre.
Parking will also be available in the Schuman, P+R Bouillon and Stade car parks.
