The Luxembourg City Tourist Office has announced 14 upcoming concerts as part of its Série des Concerts de Midi to take place in the Grand Duchy between October 2016 and the end of March 2017.
As part of this series of concerts, Luxembourg will host at least two lunchtime concerts per month until the end of March next year. The first concert, “Mystik des Rosenkranzes”, will take place on Friday 21 October 2016 at 12:30 at Luxembourg’s Eglise Protestante.
These concerts are lunchtime musical breaks which will take place in different venues and districts in Luxembourg City. The venues include the Eglise Protestante in the city centre, Eglise Saint-Matthieu in Pfaffenthal, Neimënster’s Salle Robert Krieps, and CIPA Op der Rhum in Grund, as well as the Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg in Merl.
The 2016/2017 season offers chamber music along with singing, guitar, harp and classical music recitals as well as tango, jazz and contemporary music.
For music lovers, the series of concerts is a nice lunchtime alternative and a good way to spend their lunch break. The concerts are also aimed at anyone who, for various reasons, cannot attend the many evening concerts.
The lunchtime concerts have been organised by the Ville de Luxembourg and the Ministry of Culture along with the Luxembourg City Tourist Office in collaboration with the various venues. The full programme is available from the Luxembourg City Tourist Office and the concerts are free of charge.
