On Thursday, Luxembourg's Minister for Finance, Pierre Gramegna, and his French counterpart, the French Ministry of the Economy and Finance Secretary of State, Christian Ecker, attended the pilot demonstration of ADA’s (Luxembourg’s Administration for customs and taxes) new lorry scanner, which operates in the suitably equipped location of the Dudelange-Zoufftgen border crossing on the A3.
As part of the collaboration agreement between French and Luxembourgish customs, the two countries will proceed with unilateral and conjoint controls both in the sector of identity checks and checks for all kinds of vehicles and merchandise. Pierre Gramegna and Christian Eckert’s visit highlights the positive collaboration between the countries’ customs teams and also celebrates their engagement and professionalism.
In addition, the two government ministers met to discuss bilateral relations between France and Luxembourg, particularly in regard to border workers and the collaboration between French and Luxembourgish customs.
