On Monday morning, a 52 year-old Luxembourg national died as the result of an accident at a steel works at the Hahneboesch industrial zone in Niederkorn.

The accident happened shortly after 11:15 when a crane was being used to more some steel girders when they fell over and trapped him.

The public prosecutor and the ITM (Inspectorate du Travail et des Mines) were informed. An autopsy and forensics examination of the accident scene were ordered.
