The Chœur de Chambre de Luxembourg will hold its next concert on 18 May 2019 in the Great Hall of the Philharmonie in Luxembourg, from 20:00.

The choir, under the baton of Antonio Grosu, will perform Anton Bruckner's "Te Deum" and Piotr IllichTchaikovsky's "The Year 1812". "Te Deum", although seldom played, is considered among the most impressive works in the history of sacred music and Tchaikovsky's piece is a monumental demonstration of National Romanticism. In addition, the audience will hear Antonin Dvorak's moving Symphony No. 9 "From the New World".

On stage for this concert will be 200 musicians, including the chamber choir's own Académie pour Jeunes Voix and the Orchestre Symphonique de la Grande Région. The musicians will include Luxembourg Chamber Choir soloists Elizabeth Wiles (soprano), Manou Walesch (alto), Angelos Samartzis (tenor) and Hiroshi Matsui (bass).

Tickets for this concert cost €55/€54/€35. Reduced prices are available for under 27s. Tickets are available online at www.philharmonie.lu or via tel.: 263-22632.
