The New World Theatre Club (NWTC) has announced that Mike McCormack (UK) will be offering a one-day workshop on The Physical Approaches to Acting on Sunday 19 June (10:00 -16:00) at the Centre Culturel in Luxembourg-Beggen.
 
Open to both NWTC members and non-members, this one-day workshop on physical approaches to acting will include some work on mime and on the Method of Physical Actions. The workshop will be accessible to all and will not demand special physical abilities.

Mike trained as an actor. He is also a director, puppeteer, mime and magician, having performed throughout Britain and directed numerous productions throughout Britain and Europe. He is co-founding Director of In Fieri Theatre and was founding Artistic Director of the Finborough Theatre as well as, for some years, the Associate Director of Parasol Theatre for Children. Mike was Director of the Luxembourg European Anglophone Theatre Summer School (LEATSS) and has tutored there several times - most recently in 2015. He is Senior Lecturer in Drama at Liverpool John Moores University where he teaches across practical and theoretical subjects.

Prices for the five-hour workshop are €60 non-members, €50 for NWTC members and €30 for students. The course runs from 10:00 until 16:00 (with a one-hour lunch break - lunch is not provided). Places are limited and served on a first come, first served basis.
