Enovos Luxembourg SA has announced that the inauguration of the new agrivoltaic (Agri-PV) site “Op Ritzelt” took place in Hoscheid-Dickt, a village in the municipality of Parc Hosingen in northern Luxembourg, on Friday 10 October 2025.
The inauguration brought together Enovos, Soler SA, the municipality of Parc Hosingen and farmer Carlo Dirkes, in addition to First Government Adviser and Coordinator of Economic Policy at Luxembourg’s Ministry of the Economy, Jeff Feller, the Mayor of Parc Hosingen, Romain Wester, and several other guests.
Located on a site that already features a wind turbine, the project aims to demonstrate the complementarity between solar power, wind energy and agricultural activity.
According to Enovos, the new site is the first in Luxembourg to use an east-west orientation. This layout reportedly enables a steadier distribution of solar production over the course of the day and reduces shading between the panel rows, contributing to efficient land use.
The energy provider highlighted that the design of the site includes rows of panels spaced four metres apart, allowing farmer Carlo Dirkes to continue mowing grass between them to feed his livestock. The installation is expected to generate around 2 GWh of green electricity per year, which is equivalent to the annual consumption of more than 500 households.
