On Monday 9 and Tuesday 10 December 2024, Luxembourg’s Minister of Finance, Roth Gilles, will attend the Eurogroup and Economic and Financial Affairs Council (Ecofin) meetings in Brussels, Belgium.
As reported by Luxembourg’s Ministry of Finance, the Eurogroup will hold an economic dialogue with the United Kingdom and will discuss the economic policy priorities of the next European Commission as well as an exchange of views on macroeconomic developments in the euro area.
The Ecofin Council agenda includes, among other things, the Customs Union reform package, the revision of the Energy Taxation Directive, the implementation of the European budgetary framework and the economic and financial impact of Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine.
