The Luxembourg American Cultural Society (LACS) has confirmed the "Luxembourg Under the Stars" event as part of this year's Luxembourg Fest of America.
Set to be one of the highlights of this 38th edition of the Luxembourg Fest in Belgium, Wisconsin, Luxembourg Under the Stars is taking place on the evening of Saturday 10 August 2024.
This al fresco event is expected to attract the "who's who" of Luxembourgers and Luxembourg-Americans from around the globe to gather under the tent at Belgium's Duke Henri Village Square (100 Peter Thein Avenue in Belgium, Wisconsin) for an evening of Luxembourg-inspired dishes, imported beverages and live music - all for the benefit of the LACS, whose mission is to preserve the roots of heritage and nurture the leaves of ongoing relationships between Luxembourg and America.
This year's menu is being curated by Luxembourg restaurant mogul Tom Hickey, in partnership with Mequon's Lowlands Private Events & Catering. The meal will be created using the "crème de la crème" of Luxembourgish products paired with Luxembourg beer, wine and cider, imported by Port Washington's Ansay International.
Entrance is at 17:00 for the Luxembourg Tasting Experience and live music by Tonic Roots Trio, followed by dinner at 18:30. Guests will also receive a custom-created wooden ornament of the "Gëlla Fra" (Luxembourg's Golden Lady statue). Reservations are now available for a $200 donation to the LACS at http://www.lacs.lu/.
As reported by the organisers, partner Tom Hickey has been a driving force behind the creation of six restaurants in Luxembourg. Moreover, he and his wife, Alison Adams, started Twisted Cat Brewery just before COVID-19 struck. Despite the challenges of launching a brand in the middle of the pandemic, it found success in Luxembourg and in other European countries. Twisted Cat will be introduced to the United States at this year's Luxembourg Fest by Ansay International and featured at Luxembourg Under the Stars.
The LACS recalled that Luxembourg Under the Stars is part of the overall Luxembourg Fest, which will provide an authentic Luxembourg cultural experience in and around Belgium, Wisconsin from Friday 9 to Sunday 11 August 2024.
On 9 August at 09:30, the LACS will hosts its annual Cultural Forum on "Luxembourg Culinary Traditions", featuring Guy Thewes, Director of Lëtzebuerg City Museum and Villa Vauban at Ozaukee Nonprofit Center.

A complimentary Kid's Zone will once again be set up.
