Luxembourg start-up Kliber announced Monday that it has managed to raise additional funds to finance a new version of its mobile application.
The Luxembourg Chronicle first reported on Kliber in July 2015, when it was made available on the App Store as a platform bringing together recruiters and job seekers through video. It has since been used by telecomms operator Tango and Cactus supermarket.
"This new funding was essential for Kliber," commented Nathalie Dondelinger, co-founder of Kliber. "The investment will enable us to continue to develop the application and our services in order to better serve the needs of our users."
The funding, provided by investors, will go towards the development of an Android version in order to establish a wider mobile platform presence for the application, with plans in motion for the future for users to be able to connect to their LinkedIn accounts and attach a CV to their profiles, as well as exploit other performance imporvements.
"In order to better respond to the needs of our users, we are also increasing our team to six employees by the end of March," continued Nathalie Dondelinger. "For several weeks now, the Kliber application has been available worldwide on the App store, which constitutes a first step towards a more international market. In the mid-term, we are also planning to more actively promote Kliber in other international markets."
Investors include RTL Lëtzebuerg, whose CEO, Alain Berwick, explained that "the ways of communicating and assimilating information have changed with the arrival of online social media, and video and images have become even more important than short messages" as the basis for the company's decision to get onboard.
