The second in the Luxembourg seminar series "The future of work: seize opportunities and support risks", taking place on Thursday 14 June 2018, will focus on skills in the digital era.

The Luxembourg Ministry of Labour, Employment, Social and Solidarity Economy and the Network for Labour Market and Employment Studies in Luxembourg (RETEL) have organised a series of seminars entitled "The future of work: seize opportunities and support risks". The second seminar of the cycle on "Skills and Vocational Training in the Digital Age" will take place next Thursday at 17:30 at the Sofitel Hotel (Kirchberg).

The main speaker, Prof. Dr. Werner Sauter is an economist and pedagogue specialising in the field of educational innovation. He is also the founder of Blended Solutions, which supports companies and training providers in the design of new skills-based training that addresses the challenges of digital transformation.

The presentation will be followed by two 5-minute pitches, illustrating the subject through experiments or concrete initiatives from Luxembourg and beyond. The seminar will conclude with a round table composed of Luxembourg civil society actors, in order to transpose the issues at national level and to adapt the reflection to the specificities of the country, if necessary.

Future seminars will focus on the following topics: Disability, health at work and active aging in the digital age (04/07/18); Leadership, Management and Organisational Culture in the Digital Age (19/09/18); What social model to accompany future changes? (03/10/18)

Simultaneous French-German translations will be provided.
