Details:
This Christmas season, Voices International Luxembourg will be performing a repertoire of diverse and multilingual festive pieces under the theme “Songs of Hope”.
Composed and arranged by Joel Raney, “Hope” is a Christmas celebration narrating the tale of Christ’s birth in a contemporary style, accompanied with familiar carols infused with gospel, soul and a touch of blues.
There will be four opportunities to listen to the performance on Saturday 2 December from 19:30 at Mersch Church (3 Place de l'Église, L-7533 Mersch), Sunday 3 December from 17:00 at Niederanven Church (Route de Trèves, L-6960 Senningen), Saturday 16 December from 19:30 at Bonnevoie Church (1 Place Léon XIII, L-1929 Luxembourg) and Sunday 17 December from 17:00 at Kehlen Church (Rue de Mamer, L-8280 Kehlen).
In lieu of admission charges, collection baskets will be passed around following each concert, with proceeds to be donated to children's charities.
This will be the last season that the choir of Voices International will be led by artistic director Thomas Raoult who has been in this role since 2010. Voices International encompasses Luxembourg’s cultural diversity with 60 singers, 34 nationalities and around 10 concerts per year.
