Details: The Creative Young Entrepreneur Luxembourg (CYEL) - the yearly awards event organised by the Jeune Chambre Economique du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg (JCI Luxembourg) - has just been announced.

It aims to promote new businesses, new creative ideas, that contribute in boosting the local economy. It aims also to promote entrepreneurship spirit and support entrepreneurs creating significant positive changes and impact in their business and on their target markets.

“The CYEL awards is an effective way to achieve this, as it enables candidates to present their project/company/business to the Public of Luxembourg, to potential partners/investors and benefit from a great campaign of communication.” stated Philippe Leroy, National President of JCI Luxembourg.

It is in the continuity of the actual Government’s policy to promote entrepreneurship. And, this year, CYEL is running for the 9th Edition with the support of the Ministry of Economy like all historical sponsors.

Through CYEL, JCI Luxembourg wants to encourage innovative business driven by young entrepreneurs, from 18 to 40 years old and whose business is settled in Luxembourg. Those people that are at the heart of an enterprise, launching new concepts, developing new and valuable ideas in projects, products or services or creatively solving challenging problems for their companies.

The outstanding candidate might present a unique, innovative and original approach or solution at launching or developing an activity.

This was the case of “Trendiction”, a former winner of CYEL 2012, and who is, now, a very nice success story in Europe and in the world of social media monitoring and social analytics. It has since won the Luxembourg export award 2013-2014.

The Jury members are selected among the major influential persons in Luxembourg.

Three finalists will be awarded as the most creative and outstanding entrepreneurs in Luxembourg. And the awards ceremony will take place on 10 June.

This year, for the second time, one entrepreneur will also receive a “Public Choice Award”. This entrepreneur, selected by the public from the Top 10 candidates at CYEL, will be nominated through social media votes starting from 27 May 2015.

Interested candidates are invited to submit their applications to the CYEL Awards using the form located on the CYEL website (http://cyel.jci.lu) before 15 April 2015.
