Details: Classic car owners are getting their chamois leathers out and polishing their headlights ready for Luxembourg’s biggest classic car event of the year.
The second edition of this prestigious automotive event for classic cars and motorcycles is set take place between 29 and 31 August at the Parc Domaine Thermal, Mondorf-les-Bains, and there’s excitement in the air amidst the event organisers at Make-A-Wish.
Make-A-Wish Luxembourg President, Marcel Hagendoorn, told The Luxembourg Chronicle “Judging by the registrations to date, this year’s Grand Tour and Concours d’Elégance look set to be equally as, if not more popular than, the same events last year and we’re looking forward to a wonderful few days at Mondorf. Last year we raised enough money to grant 12 wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses, and this year we’d love to be able to do the same”.
Ashley Prine, Volunteer Manager, added: “We’ve had a fantastic response from people wanting to come and help out at the event but we still need more pairs of hands. If you think you could spare a day or two to assist in whatever way you can – admissions, food/drink service, manning stands, or even (for the die-hard car enthusiasts among you!) providing security for the cars, then send me a message – we’d love to hear from you!”
Former Concours volunteer, Kim Hurst, said: “Last year all the car enthusiasts, their beautiful cars, and the camaraderie of all our volunteers, contributed to a really “buzzy” atmosphere. With a fabulous retro 40s band providing music, Cremant flowing, and some of the most beautiful cars in the world on show, it was really special to be a part of it all, and even better knowing we were raising money for WISHkids at the same time.”

Simply enter the required fields and the organisers will follow up with more detailed information by Friday 15 August. Volunteers will receive free entrance for themselves and one guest plus a food/drink voucher, parking and a Concours d’Elégance polo shirt.
