The association Les Amis du Tibet Luxembourg (Friends of Tibet Luxembourg) will celebrate its 30th anniversary with an event at Luxembourg-Merl cultural centre (26 Rue Saint-Hubert, L-1744) on Saturday 25 October 2025, starting at 11:00.
Everything revolves around the theme: "Encounters, from the highlands of Tibet to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg". According to the organisers, this event will be dedicated to celebration and memories, but also to encounters, the sharing of cultures and the simple joy of being together.
The day’s programme includes a welcome address and presentation of the association, a lunch by Kohinoor Howald, and a concert by Luxembourgish pop duo NesseCity (12:30–14:00). Visitors can also take part in a Momo workshopto learn how to prepare the traditional Tibetan dumplings (registration required), explore a Tibetan crafts and photo exhibition, and enjoy traditional dance performances throughout the day.
A highlight of the event will be a special concert by Tibetan singer and peace activist Loten Namling at 14:45.
